ecoBioqual is a consultant society working in the field of ecotoxicology, mutagenesis and applied biology, referring to environment, human health and quality of both products and industrial activities. It’s a highly specialised society co-works with scientific research centres and university.

ecoBioqual is a highly specialised society that propose a new approach relating to environment quality and occupational exposure, using biological assays (ecotoxicity and mutagenicity assays) developed in a laboratory following standards methods both national (CNR IRSA) and international (OCSE, ASTM, USEPA, Environment Canada).The approach proposed integrate biological science with other environmental sciences, providing a wide range of bioassays on microrganisms, animal organisms and plants to evaluate human activities impact on freshwater and seawater quality, groundwaters, drinking waters, wastewaters. Biological test can are also used for the evaluation of wastewater treatment plants efficiency.

ecoBioqual offer its professional knowhow in the renewable energy sector such as the production of energy from the anaerobic digestion of urban wastes and wastes derived from other processes (wastewaters, sludge from wastewater treatment plant, animal manure, wastes from food industry). This is a promising way to recover the biomass while mitigating the negative impacts on the environment. Infact the biogas produced by the anaerobic digestion can be used to produce electricity or can be used to feed cogeneration units that prodiuce both electricity and calor. The development and implementation of plants fuelled by biomass energy makes it possible to complete the so called “carbon cycle": the amount of carbon emitted through their use is the same amount absorbed by the plants to produce the same quantity of energy.
